Bokura No Bouken - Bleeper Style

I haven’t made a video for this (yet), but I’m not sure that I will, either.

However, I’ve made a bleeper version (BMM file) of “Bokura No Bouken”, the opening to “Hikaru No Go”, thanks to Yumeni from YouTube supplying me with a MIDI file of it. (It’s much easier if you can see/hear the length and pitch of each note.)

You can get it here. ;)

Touhou Piano Medley (Touhou 08: Imperishable Night)

I felt I was playing too much NON-Touhou music lately, so I hope this little Touhou medley of mine makes up for it (it had better do, the hours I spent practising >_<).
Inspired by the great music from Touhou 08: Imperishable Night.

The keyboard is plugged into my soundcard INPUT, and my headphones are plugged into my soundcard OUTPUT. That way, you get as close to perfect audio as possible (no hiss from a microphone), and I can hear what I’m playing as I play it, without disturbing other people in the house.

I know Mystia’s part was short, but I was having so much trouble with it that I decided to just stick to what I was happy with playing.

Keyboard is a Yamaha PSR-E313.

I’m also providing an MP3 of this - should anyone want it - at 320 kbps.

[Gaxtile] ‘GAK Style’?

Just a litle explanation of how we came up with the name ‘Gaxtile’ for our 2-person ‘band’ (if you can really call it that).

Yes, we are slightly insane.

[Gaxtile] Now I Lay Thee Down (Calm Style)

An accidentally-made calm, almost ambient version of the song which was originally by Machine Head.
We’re just amateurs, and we already know we’re not that good.

We do this for fun, that’s why we often laugh a little when we mess up. We just want to share with people our little attempts of recreating music.

Much more info is in the video!

Please attempt to enjoy! ^^

Recorded only with my camcorder, so there was a lot of noise in the audio originally. It was particularly tricky to remove the noise from this music, but I’ve removed as much noise as I can.

Here’s a higher-quality MP3:

The MP3 is stereo, at 256kbps. It’s the audio stream of the video which you see here, so it has silence at the beginning.

[Gaxtile] Now I Lay Thee Down (Original Style)

We’re just amateurs, and WE KNOW WE’RE NOT THAT GOOD, so a hundred comments saying that we suck is something we can do without. This is my brother and I attempting to play the song which was originally by ‘Machine Head’.

We do this for fun, that’s why we often laugh a little when we mess up. We just want to share with people our little attempts of recreating music.

More info in the video!

Recorded only with my camcorder, so there was a lot of noise in the audio originally. I’ve removed as much noise as I can. Any more and the music would get messed up too much.

I’ll put a higher-quality MP3 available for download even though I don’t think there’ll be much demand:

Here’s the link.

That MP3 is in stereo, at 256kbps. It is the audio stream of the video which you see here, so it has silence at the beginning.

Bleeper Music Maker (revision 127)

EDIT: There is a known bug in this version. The program will crash when you try to play music consisting of a single note, with certain combinations of settings for whether it should play Note 1 or Note 2, and to do with clicking the note in the music list. >_o Whatever, I’m not 100% sure why it happened, but this did not happen before revision 127, and I’ve already fixed it for revision 128.

New in this version is the introduction of a Time Signature slide-bar (this represents the number of beats, i.e. quarter-notes, in a bar). It can be found up in the top-right of the program, near the BPM (tempo) setting. The reason for me adding a Time Signature setting, is that I’ve also added 3 little green displays to show you what the current position in the music is, which can be found in the bottom-right. Also included is a very short music file to show off the Time Signature setting at 7-beat.

(Click for full-size - you can also see it on the program download page. Yes, I’ve finally updated that image! >_<) Continue reading ‘Bleeper Music Maker (revision 127)’

Reimu Tries Out “Hax Sign 「Burn Everything」” in GTA-World

EDIT: I’m making the voice mod be available for download, even though it’s not complete. Please read included ‘Info.txt’ for a lot of info about it.

Here’s the link.
(5.55 MB, sorry for slow download speed.)

Yeah… I made it up as I went along and worked out what she could be saying later and edited that in.

It’s a character mod of Hakurei Reimu from the Touhou series, within ‘Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas’. Also noticable is an anime-style voice mod I’m in the process of making; and, the police are Suika, because… well, why not? Just replace the sake for doughnu– uh, I’ll just stop here. I didn’t show off the characters or voice well though — I’ll do that in another video. I just wanted to jump on the Hax Sign bandwagon…

I did not make the character model mods. I am making the voice mod. And yes, there are several cheats (or as Reimu would probably prefer, ‘haxes’) going on in the video. =D

IF YOU DON’T GET IT, look at the past Flash animations at the brilliant http://www.walfas.org . You’ll notice Reimu has more than a slight tendancy to start fires.

Ancient 8-Bit-style MIDI Synth plays Touhou 08 (IN) MIDIs

The soundcard in this old computer has a very electronic-sounding, “8-Bit style” MIDI synth on it, which sounds really cool if you’re a chip-tune fan. I show it off by playing some MIDIs from “Touhou 08: Imperishable Night” (and a couple of others) using it, through my mini hi-fi. The percussion is especially electronic-sounding. =D

As I’ve said in the video, I’ve already made MP3s of all the Imperishable Night MIDIs using this synth. You can find them here:

http://robbi-985.homeip.net:8000/hosted_audio/AncientMIDISynth.html

The soundcard is an old Creative Sound Blaster type, by the way. It’s capable of having a maximum of 16 notes playing at any one time. However, there’s something strange about it - if there are 16 notes starting at the same time, not all will be played. It’s like it can only cope with about 4 notes starting at the exact same time. I gave a little more info about the computer at the start of the video. ;)

P.S. Don’t ask me what happened at 05:55. =P
